With frenzy like this, who needs enemas! -g- .... since last typing on Chrétien i've discovered that his recent statements on the subject were not a nicely broad support of the principles of international parliamentarianism, but a specifying that we would not join the coalition of the hard-of-hearing absent passage of another UNSC resolution

With this i disagree, as do you, it's likely what you meant back there when you said something like 'subjugating ouselves to the UN', or 'to France' ..... that's what such a position would constitute, given current structure of UNSC - blind subordination of our will to that of others ..... absolutely not what we should do, whether to the US or France or whoever, rather we should take each issue on its own merits, and not get sucked into any fantasy of there being only two sides on any question

Anyway, after this 'war', do we help rebuild in the area? .... we're good at that, and we certainly have the lumber -g- .... i say we should, to a healthy degree of per capita expenditure, and we should do it in such a way as to make it plain that we are independent of any other power or group of powers
