irritating and pretentious as hell ... and I'm sure that's what the Iraqis are saying, "gee, those darn Bush guys! Irritating and quite pretentious!", as major buildings are blown into rubble at night in the middle of their city. It's not very funny, but one fellow in Baghdad yesterday heard the air-raid sirens and actually went outside to take a look. The news reporter found him in the hospital, lucky to be alive. Now there was someone on the same intellectual level as Junior. But, more curious - apparently Junior doesn't even want to watch TV to see what he's commanded to happen. I wonder what the rest of the Arab "street" is really thinking about all this, aside from the usual sloganeering. What I really wonder is if over the next 10 years there will be any respect and credibility for the US among the thousands of self-detonating troublemakers around the world looking for a cause celebre.
