One problem with this time is the lack of global support.

Not surprising....we were the ones attacked on 9/11.

Another difference is that the folks running the current show have a different agenda...Iraq is only a first step.

I hope you are right. We should continue this effort until all terror havens are eliminated.....

Also, this time, it's appearing more and more like it's also an effort to reduce inventory to boost defense suppliers' production and cash flow going forward.

Pinheaded poppycock....

Well, in terms of Global support I think you need to look at the UN. The UN is good in theory but if you review the last 20 years it hasn't been very good in practice when you look at what some of these dictators have done, and usually the UN gets involved way too late by the time things get out of hand. Look at Bosnia and Rwanda. The UN has lacked teeth for a long while. And its been 12 years (even with Clinton) that the US and UK have had to be the teeth. We are going to do it right this time. And I think the Palastine/Israel problem is the only real issue left, other than tracking down the remnants of the Al-Queda. We have certainly made mistakes in the past backing certain dictators. All countries have. In the end we will have to see how the Iraqis feel about being liberated. If it is as it has so far appeared to be, that will nullify all arguments against this action.

<font color=red>76% of Americans approve of war.
CNN poll just broadcast:
60% strongly approve
16% approve.
Only 15% strongly disapprove.

You LIKE Saddam, don't you? Come on, you can admit it.
