" This gentleman makes a heck of an argument "........

Yes,if we were to consider these words and accounts to be accurate and/or complete without bias.I agree that there have been lost opportunities for the UN to have shown more prudence and resolve in conducting matters of global interest, but like most other matters, there are always two sides to a conflict, and revisionism ie: 20/20 hindsight : should not be used as extensively as it is to justify current situations at will.

If we are to go there,we must ask why the US did not get fully involved in TWO world wars till either directly attacked ( Pearl Harbor - Dec - 1941 ):

history.navy.mil

or saw no way of avoiding being attacked and defending itself properly from " lawless submarine warfare adopted without disguise by the Imperial German Government " :

( April - 1917 )

firstworldwar.com

This whole concept that America " won " both World Wars and is the only nation on earth doing anything to maintain peace and democracy is truly sickening, especially to those who know the difference,or those who are at least willing to take their eyes off CNN long enough to learn a little World history, from many different perspectives.

I respect this gentleman's opinion, especially regarding WWII and appeasement ,but there are countries in the World that need no lectures from America( or its proxies for that matter ) to know its place in the World, not then, and certainly not now.

KC
