This question will raise its ugly head looking for answers if things continue this way and nothing of consequence is found in Iraq

It will raise its ugly head even after chem and bio weapons are found in Iraq. Bear in mind, KC, that this argument has nothing to do with whether Saddam actually has chem or bio weapons. If we are dealing in the world of simple facts, everybody knows that he has them. Even France admitted as much with M. de Villepin said inspections were good enough because his programs had been "contained". Saddam's conspicuous ties to terrorists, both foreign and home-grown, will also be revealed (e.g., what was that senior Palestinian terrorist doing in Saddam's bunker?). That won't matter either.

Because the argument is no longer about the facts of Iraq, if it ever was. It is about the nature of American power.
