I must admit to being pleasantly surprised, at the lack of Al Queda (or imitators) activity. There has been little follow-up to 9/11, that has turned out not to be the first in a series. And if Al Queda had the capability, they surely would have used it by now.

Expect any terrorism to coincide with the assault on Baghdad.

Najaf is the number one center of Shia resistance in Iraq. Any deteriorating progress in Najaf or Karbala should be a big warning sing. Note, Karbala is a very small town near Baghdad, so do not mistake progress there with progress in Baghdad.
