This is what Canada has become...

(The Imam still does not believe that bin Laden was responsible for 9/11).

Imam praises Canada's position on Iraq

OTTAWA - Ottawa's main mosque was filled to capacity Friday afternoon as worshippers attended prayers. Many were talking about Iraq.

The mosque's imam told the congregation he supports the position taken by the Chrétien government, not to take part in the war.

Imam Gamal Soleiman asked the worshippers not to lose heart in what he described as difficult times.

Soleiman says God promises to help sincere believers, even while they're being tested in this life.

He also asked the congregation not to overlook the stance taken by the Canadian government.

"I am for one very grateful for this country, especially the prime minister and his foreign office. It is the moral duty of every one of us to express that in any way possible," the imam said.

Soleiman also asked people to start donating money to help the victims of Iraq. He reminded them that many more Muslims should be out demonstrating their opposition to the war.

I don't mean to disparage the performance of the Aussies in Iraq. But, you have to admit, from the general aversion to fighting on the part of many Iraqia, the Aussies' success was just a piece of cake. In short, the coalition forces are not winning it, the Iraqis are just losing it!!!

In WWII, in Malaya (now Malaysia), the Aussies were humbled by Japanese forces.

In Korea, the allies, despite their superior weaponry and air power, were overwhelmed by the so-called "Yellow Peril".

And, in Vietnam, the US was humbled despite everything it threw at the enemy.

That said, because the Iraqia are not fighting, the coalition's success is a no-brainer and a cinch!
