Back in the Clinton administration Congress passed a bill that we would intervene if Saddam did not comply. Saddam has constantly violated UN agreements over 12 years. We are not invading to occupy, we are invading to enforce UN restrictions that the UN should be doing but are not because many want to destroy the US and Israel. The comparrisons with Russia are laughable. The Soviets invaded Hungary, Poland, Afganistan, East Germany, Czechoslavakia, etc. And you and others are saying we are setting a first that others will follow? What a joke. You will note Lech Welesa and Gorbychev both support the US position.
