My only resentment about Turner is that he has willing turned himself into a corporate welfare whore, accepting federal agriculture subsidies for letting his properties revert to wilderness. I'm sure he can justify the welfare as a noble effort to rebalance the planet with nature. It may be a weak justification....What is ADM doing with it's subsidies; put small farmers out of business If you had to give one a subsidy, would you rather it go to Turner or ADM. I did a cursory search on Turner in 2000 he got $190K in farm subsidies... $190K, vs. $1B, vs. $250M. I'm not going to worry about the $190,000. GHP fat cat party "donators" ... Horrors! I thought the GHP was opposed to farm subsidies. They proved it by raising farm subsidies only 65%. jttmab
