next time ask an actuary to interpret the numbers. The death rate depends on many factors. The average age is one of them and as we all know the average age of Iraqi is much lower than the average age of brit or american.
Far better indicator is an infant mortality rate and as per your link:
Infant Mortality (per 1000 births)
Iraq ............. 62.49
United Kingdom ... 5.63
United States .... 6.82

the other indicator is life expectancy:
Iraq ..... 67.38
UK ....... 77.99
US ....... 77.40

note that life expectancy is calculated net of infant mortality. If infant mortality would be considered than life expectancy difference would be even higher. That is instead of 10 years it would be more like 14 years or brits and americans are expected to live 22% longer than Iraqis.
