The strongest positive for peace is the removal of the sponsors for terrorism. I, like you, want to live in a period of peace. Iraq and Palestine need to be resolved. It will take some time for the people in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Syria, Yemen, etc. to calm down. The stabilization of Palestine is absolutely necessary at this point. The question is whether we will tell Israel to quit it and to abide by set boundaries for the establishment of a recognized Palestinian state. If we do not do that, we may never know peace.
