Do you remember the scene in the HBO Movie about the Paratrooper Company in WWII that was advancing on a town with British Tank support? They asked the Tank crew to fire on a German Tank in the town, and the commander refused because he had been ordered not to fire unless he had a clear shot. The German tank killed them, of course.
