I am not leftist and I am not pleased about the incident. But I must tell you, as soon as the news came out, somebody here took a mock CNN voice to him and said "It seems that Joe Blow had recently changed his name to Mohammed Al Abdulah...Pentagon officials are investigating how this went on unnoticed". This was suppose to be sarcasm, but sure enough soon the media reported "the suspect has an Arabic sounding last name". Oh pleeeeeez! how lame can you get. But I see now that that stupid propaganda attempt is now being reworded as the guys was a Muslim.

JB, It would be wise to tone down the level of hyperbole for the next several days. Every one is going to be working on too much adrenaline which is likely to lead to explosions. Best we work hard to tamp it down.

alleged Muslim American GI I have not been able to run this down. One film of him made him appear to be a black guy, which would make the assumption that he is a "Black Muslim" but we are a long way from being able to say that. And if he is, the press will be very PC about it. At least they have been in the past. You notice that almost nothing has been made of the Black Muslim/Washington sniper connection. This guy could have been a nut. He also could have become enraged by anti-muslim comments made by his buddies while they have been waiting around to fight. Hell, he could have seen the picture of the San Francisco Demonstrators with the "Kill your Officers" sign! TWT. One thing that does concern me about the "Black Muslim" population in this country is the constant connections we have been reading about to Waahabi Clerics. Again and again, we seem them very active in the Black Muslim population of our country. When you combine this virulent form of Islam with the various complaints about our society that exist in this group, and add a dollop of "Chomsky," you get a lot of potential problems. The biggest problem involved with this subject is the refusal of the major media to deal with it honestly. Just to PC for them
