Yes, it's useless as no more than a rubber stamp for the US, or for France, or whoever ... well it serves as a debating centre, a place to express positions and get them on record, there is that to it

But that's the security council - there is more to the UN ... what i don't know about it would fill volumes, but someone i respect was going on the other day, on the subject of what does work well there, the health organisation for one, and UNESCO if memory serves .... anyway, nothing is fixed in stone, by coming up with improvements and convincing others of their merits we can make it better ..... clearly it is imperative that we do so, there must be an alternative to the Pentagon and the 'Commerce' department

One step at a time ... if you can't get cooperation on one issue right away, try for it on another ... avoid the 'no' response, get a series of yes answers going .... any two persons or nations will agree on something, somewhere, trick is to find it

No way do we pay for somebody else's war ... not one thin canadian dime - those who pump for the war-first war-always platform can pay for their own g.d. bullets
