Not just providing it. There have been Russians on the ground around Baghdad helping to operate the equipment.

Russia and Iraq have had a long relationship, not surprising. And if we alienate Russia we are risking the largest supply of WMD outside the US falling into the wrong hands. Russia and all former Soviet countries are corrupt and run by Mafias to an extent. Selling their old WMD's to terrorists is a real danger. Perhaps a much greater danger than Saddam.
