Give you liberty or give you death?

Then why not unmoderate yourself?

That would be true respect for all you stand for wouldn't it?

<<people should at least be respectful of each other; nothing more, nothing less>>

I 100% agree which is why I think you need to be careful not to allow your personal view cloud your decision as to who to boot. I have watched J.O. take off on people yet you haven't booted him. Since you seem to be quite committed to running a clean thread I'd like to make a proposition. NO I'M NOT ASKING YOU TO MARRY ME LOL!! I say ANYONE who engages in name calling of any kind should be banned for the remainder of the day. That way both parties can cool down and become rational again.

Sound Fair?

There are very passionate opinions about the topics under discussion. Many view the liberal anti-war agenda as anti-American. I see many protestors as opportunistically using the war to really attack Bush and the Republican Party.

Many pro-liberate Iraq posters have deep military roots. Their experiences and opinions are part of the American saga. You may disagree with their opinion, their passion or their approach, but you cannot ignore their sacrifice by banning their participation.

I strongly disagree with your banning policy.

screaming vile language under the rotunda capital dome is acceptable
How about blocking streets when innocent people are trying to get to work?

Or assaulting officers of the law or reporters?

More BS, PT. A clear argument can be made that the very thing you are promoting- -protests and anti-gov't activity- -is far worse than anything typed onto any keyboard connected to SI.
