I've addressed that in some separate posts. One has to remember that Iraq went through a good solid decade of war. That distorts the hell out of normal population distribution. You can look at any country that goes through long periods of war and the age distribution is distorted.

That's the reason why I selected current death rates. I wanted to see what has been happening over the last three years [nominally].
