even if he doesn't use any chemical or biological agents we should be able to find these stockpiles in the country because after all, we had intelligence to show we knew where they were, correct?

So any damage no WMDs cause to world sentiment will be short lived until we take Baghdad.

I'm worried we won't find anything. As it stands US media is reaching- they claimed a bunch of missiles were scuds and they were not.

Another theory is Saddam wants to hurt Bush personally.
How can he best do this? By humiliating Bush on the eve of his triumph with a terrible attack of WMD. So the closer we get to Saddam the more dangerous it could be.

Another theory is for Saddam to make WMD's disappear and humiliate Bush when we cannot find any such weapons there, ever. That is another possibility. I would prefer the last one.
