I think the US would have done better by not bringing up the Geneva convention with this one.

Just remind the iraqis that we have thousands of iraqi prisoners vs their 10 or so, and offer a truce on humanitarian treatment of both sets of prisoners. But to bring up the Geneva convention in this circumstance seems a little out of line. jmo
