It used to report a fair bit differently than the US media. I don't mean to say it's unbiased. Back a ways on this thread I mentioned switching to US media because I got tired of seeing Rumsfeld gladhanding Hussein.

Here many English language papers sound just like US papers.
Another problem is relying on translations. It must be hard for translators at times not to impart at least a tonal change to something depending upon their convictions. Fortunately I can read the French fine.

Granted now with the Brits acting in concert with the US that is sure to be more skewed but it is still a different source. Here in Canada even the French and English media report differently sometimes form the same network.

McDonald's or Pepsi I would doubt that has any bearing on what the US media reports regarding Iraq. Besides... I'm a Coke man :o)
