<< Don't be naive. Tunnel defense is very effective against a dominant attack force. >>

Not in flat desert, or urban areas. Especially when the common Iraqi hates the government, and would tell our troops where the tunnels are. Those in tunnels would be sitting ducks. Or, should I say, drowning ducks. If I were a general I would love to have 10,000 enemy troops trapped in an underground tunnels!

I'll try not to be naive. But..... I hope that the Iraq Red Guard has the same level of military astuteness as you do. <g>

<< Tunnels are largely impervious to our one great advantage, air power. >>

Can you spell "bunker buster"?

Once again, I would love to have the enemy troops underground in tunnels. It isn't like vietnam, where there were many small tunnels all over the place, holding a few cong.

<< And Saddam is probably happy to take 30 casualties to our one. >>

Let's hope that it is 3,000 to our one. After what those pieces of shit did to American prisoners of war, I hope that we make good use of cluster bombs on their troops!

<<Tunnel defense is very effective against a dominant attack force. It's guerilla style warfare. Tunnels are largely impervious to our one great advantage, air power.>>

But a very bad place to be when they're flooded with oil and a grenade is tossed in.

Hi AS, tunnel defenses don't work anymore. If you don't believe me, ask the Taleban in Afghanistan.
