Bush just barely carried N. Carolina in 2000.

Sometimes I think that you need a full-time fact checker. Bush beat Gore in North Carolina by 13% in 2000. 1,631,163 to 1,257,692, 56.03% to 43.20%.

I used to think that Edwards would make an attractive VP candidate (though not to me) next year, but I am starting to reconsider that thought. The world is still going to be a dangerous place next year and Edwards is going to look a bit inexperienced when matched up with Cheney. Graham is a bit too eccentric (check out those stories about those diaries), so you might want find another southern prospect. Zell Miller will be free.

I agree that Dean is getting a bounce because of his opposition to the war. Kerry could run into the "expectations" problem in NH. He is expected to win that primary. If he does not win it decisively, his campaign will be in trouble.
