Changing the subject -

I stayed up most of the night and watched that skirmish in Um Qasr begin and proceed over several hours.

It started out quite benign. As it became clear that our tanks weren't going to be able to do the job, the British reporter covering the operation became increasingly obnoxious. -g-

I kept switching channels trying to get away from his voice. Alas.

The military commentator from Fox was visibly pissed that our commanders were letting this operation drag on. It should have been short and sweet but they took forever to order the planes in.

The commentator said, "Where are these planes coming from? Mississippi?"

If the media had been traveling with our troops during WWII, we wouldn't have won that war.
