<<common courtesy is anything but common>>

Taken out of context. What I said was common courtesy did not require a personal relationship. It is an etiquette

Augustus... "Common Courtesy is not a an expectation that requires a personal relationship. Its a societal etiquette"

Response from the letter, X:

"if you expect common courtesy on SI you are more confused than I initially thought you were"

He did not say he expected it on SI in particular. He implied that it was a normal expectation from people with intelligence, culture, and civilization. He apparently expected it from you as an average human.

You cannot be courteous to him because you are posting on SI?? You are unable to be courteous because the medium overwhelms your character??

SI is not a person. It has no personal "character". People have personal character...or they do not.
