Again, not an opinion, just a reiteration of information gleaned from this thread earlier.

Signs seen at multiple "peace" gatherings this weekend.

Everyone wants to play policeman here.

Please vent these opinions elsewhere.

Why do you say that? Given that we are in an overseas war, that opinion seems relevant to Foreign Affairs. It was not expressed in vulgarity or personal attack. Seems to me, whether you agree with him or not, this is an appropriate forum for the presentation of such a view.

I note you didn't say he was wrong, BTW. Do you think he was?

It probably would have been more accurate for him not to say "the left" so broadly, because not all the left do that (although that sort of overstatement doesn't bother most people here who are quick to use such shorthand about the right, neocons, the administration, etc.). Probably would have been more accurate for him to say "some members of the left" or "some leftists" or such.

But there were indeed such opinions expressed on signs in at least one of the "peace" marches (interesting to see "peace" activists promoting murder; that's not the kind of pacifism I recognise, personally). And the march organizers, as far as I know, didn't ask that the signs be removed or disavow the view.

So, why would you censor such an opinion from this thread?
