It is very sad that people who never faced combat, or were under air, artillery or mortar fire, or were wounded in battle, not to mention participating in covert operation voice their opinion on SI and all over the world about the war in Iraq. My suggestion to all just shut up!!! --- war is a horrible business it smells bad it looks even more horrific that any picture can show it is more painful than one can imagine ........ but it is a toll of last resort and unfortunate it will not disappear from our civilization. I participated in more than one war, was many time under live fire, crossed enemy lines to save lives and equipment, lost friends and comrades in those painful events and more painful some who insisted to go there before I went there. For years I had nightmares and goose bumps when situations were reminiscent of events in battle ..... like a full moon for example ....... unwanted separation and other saddening day to day life events ....... including watching today events ........ I can not say I sleep well having backslashes from events that happened over 20 to 30 years ago. Many lives are destroyed and much more are shattered innocent people will be maimed for life because some power hungry tyrannical bastards driven by evil. IMHO the present war is justified and many do not see even the real reason for starting this war or what would expect us if we followed the French solution. In a nutshell I would be grateful if many on SI would just shut up with their idiotic comments and speculation. Thank you
