They seem to be saying too gruesome, too painful to the families of the soldiers involved to broadcast it, too inflaming.

Maybe an underlying feeling that some things in war are just too painful for the general public to be able to face.

Also, I suspect the possibility that they know some young children may be watching.

All just my guesses.

Centcom briefing this afternoon, suggested it would not be appropriate to air, and also took a shot al Al-Jazeera for airing it.

<<AlJazeera TV clip not shown on CNN/CNBC/FOX,etc. Anyone speculate as to the reason why?>>

Liability. Imagine the law suit a mother would have if the networks showed her son dead with his pants pulled down and shot in the face before she knew he was killed. At first I thought it might have been some integrity on the part of the networks.

Al Jazeera clip is a violation of the Geneva convention. That's the PC version of why US news didn't air it.

Personally, after seeing just the still shots, it makes me feel mad enough to kill, and I am a fairly mild mannered person. I would personally execute the Iraqi man in the photos that I saw.

So it's probably better that people in the US don't see it.
