<< Just on the Vlaams Blok - be careful. They are even further nationalist than the problematic wing of Mr. Haider'S Freedom party. >>

They are nationalistic, but they are against the Islamic threat to Belgium, they would like Belgium to get better control of their borders, AND they are against racism and against antiSemitism.

I like what I read at their website, and hope that they succeed in reforming Belgium. But, at your advice, I will do some more research.

<< The Vlaams Bloc is "special" among the more far-right parties of europe becuase they are separationist (sort of a "nationalism" of its own) >>

The reason for this, outlined at their website, is because Belgium is trying to outlaw their political party.

<< Now that MR. Haider is useless, the future of that grouping will depend on their emencipation away off him. And even with Mr. Haider "Nazi like rule", as you feared it - was NEVER ever at stake. >>

After years of having the Nazi, Francois Mitterrand, as Austrian President, I wasn't surprised when Haider grew in popularity. I formed a very biased and negative opinion of the Austrian people. The fact that the people of Austria then kicked the likes of Haider out, gave me renewed respect for them. Why was Francois Mitterrand so popular?
