AS, proper investment isn't about day trading in the market. Investing is about dollar cost averaging, diversification across asset categories and classes. It's about understanding your risk profile and identifying your horizon, then building a portfolio that maps to your horizon. Professionals can get you an 8% annualized return over the long term, with minimal long term risk. You know what the gov't gets you and I for our money? An average of 2%. That doesn't even pace inflation, so it's a negative real return.

So please don't talk about what you don't know. Privatization is about letting the people who earn the money have control of the money, and letting them get professionals to help safeguard it. To think the government can do a better job is just ignorant.
