Just a comment not specifically in response to the exact conversation.

The USA makes the very best WMD. If they could only keep them to themselves the world may be safer, but they sell them all over the globe, and get to clean up the unused ones at a later date with newer ones.

I'm sure it's not deliberate, but if they had a longer term global peace and prosperity strategy, they could probably break the cycle.

Many of the foreign companies that also sell WMD get them from the US companies or their foreign "at arms length, non tax paying" subs, so we have to be careful who the finger is pointed at in terms of supply.

Plenty of other countries doing the same as the US, so no sense focusing only on the US.

Gate's open the WMD have escaped. Too late to round them all up. A smarter solution is required.
