Hi Ed, Here's another book on the same sort of theme that I've read and can recommend: amazon.com Klare is an academic who was a young anti-war activist during the Viet Nam era. Interestingly, he's predicting that water will be the cause of most wars in the Middle East by 2025. Of note, Iraq is currently being de-watered by Turkey and Syria which have both built and planned additional dams on the Tigris and Euphrates that could nearly completely dry up these rivers. A real casus belli for whoever eventually gains control of the government of Iraq.
