Who cares about Byrd 50 years ago? We all know that old story. The GOP drags it out whenever one of theirs get caught with their hand in the racist cookie jar. Besides, Byrd voted for all the Civil Rights acts. So what? If you want to brand people for their foolish youth let's look at GW Bush's youth. Didn't work, drank a lot, went AWOL and deserted his Air Guard unit, lost millions in business, and reputedly did cocaine and had a girlfriend get an abortion. But we don't want to mention that because now he's proven himself fit to be Emperor of the world. LOL
