We are all deserving- if we opposed the war, we deserve to watch it, in all its painful aspects, because we did not try hard enough to avert it. If we support the war than every minute of pain is our complete responsibility. We deserve every moment of filming that appears on our television sets. We are all guilty of complicity in every killing, and every maiming, of our own troops and of every Iraqi. Since we ARE responsible, we cannot avert our eyes from the consequences of our actions, imo, no matter how painful. If it is too painful, we should not have taken the road we did.

Obviously you come to a different conclusion, though I'm not sure how you justify it. I can only tell you that this is the way I see it, I can't really understand what your spirit is saying (except that you see innocence where I see none).
