High Volatility leading to another high 5 day TRIN score buy signal?

Les, today's sell off could not have been much worse but it came on much lower volume than the preceding upward higher volume move.

The 5 day short term traders index ^STI.N got another huge reading today coming in just over 5.0. We even got the highest intraday reading of the year at 6.18. More than likely we will get a short term buy signal generated in the next couple of days. Any 5 day score over 9.0 will get us there.

Today's high score comes after the longest streak of low TRIN scores that I can personally recall. They of course generated a short term sell signal when the 5 day additive score dropped below 4.0. The selling did not come immediately.

Past 5 day TRIN

3/24 5.02
3/21 0.57
3/20 0.89
3/19 0.66
3/18 0.55
Total 7.69
Any closing score for the next day or two that adds up to over 1.86 will generate another buy signal. Yahoo ^STI.N:

finance.yahoo.com^sti.n&d=t

table.finance.yahoo.com^sti.n&g=d

Now whether that buy signal is just a short term buy signal or something that fits in with the green signals I see on your projected cycles I could not say. Still it is worth watching.

RtS
