I'm merely repeating what those who wanted war kept saying to me. I was opposed to this, remember?

Do you approve of bodies being shown on TV before the families are notified?

You know what? It is not as big a deal as you make it sound.

Your army just invaded a country. They are raining bombs on its cities. People are dying. Now THAT's a big deal.

American soldiers dying is also a big deal for their families and loved ones. However, they are SOLDIERS, and their country is the one that is invading the other. That is a little bit less a deal than babies dying. If they die, their corpses being shown on TV "before" their families are notified are, I am sure, a shock for their families but it really is not a big deal when compared to their DEATH, and the death of all the civilians in Iraq they kill.

I do not mean this to be inflammatory. I am sure the American army does not INTENTIONALLY kill Iraqi civilians. However, TVs showing a soldier's dead body before his family is notified is far less of a big deal than civilians being killed as we speak.
