Isn't it a iv until it is not. Until that red line is gone, how can you rule out the iv?

In jj's count, the "ii" was a flat, so alternation would say that you expect a sharp correction here. Granted, sharp "iv" is not the norm, but after a flat "ii" it would be expected, no?

I'm so farking po'd this AM. Had the turn point nailed on COMP - wanted a headfake over 1420 and I got it. However, I translated it into 27.45 on my QQQs. We got within pennies, for less than 30 min. Friday.

I'm so farking gun-shy right now I couldn't pull the trigger manually. Would have made a nice month's salary covering this morning, without even giving any thought at all to the re-entry. Grrrrrrrrrrrr....

Shack, I did mean "iv" rather than big 4, but as I have said a bunch here...I don't have a count that's of any use to me. I am not a believer in the biiiig up concept here and now, but I also have a hard time thinking we reverse straight down from here (despite some of the candle patterns we may draw after Friday/today). I dunno. I think it's all dicey, so I'm just trying to scalp around my QQQ puts for a spell. If we keep descending at this speed, obviously I won't try for the big next wave. If we start chopping around to a decent support level, I'll probably hold my nose and try a long or two. In the interim, I'm just looking for decent individual stock entries....

<<What are people seeing that leads them to think it is a '4'.>>

FWIW i"ve been seeing ( in all major indexes):

1. Two waves completed since Oct lows - either A-B or 1-2...(do not buy theory we are in some way still correcting off of July lows)

2. We moved in March into either a C or 3 up

3. On the 60-min, three waves completed since Mar 12, and we COULD now be in a 4.......

......IF SO, we could now be heading for retracement (on the Dow):
- Of the preceding wave 4 of lesser degree - to 8131
- To just above the wave 1 high - at 7931
- Of .38FIB 1100 point advance from 3/12 - to 8099

Based on that, looking for pullback to around 8000/8150 -- maybe to support at 50 -day SMA.

EDIT: Any and all more expert than I welcome to tear this apart!!
