Nadine, This was the only thing worth reading imo in the last couple of days. I hate to go back to the vietnam body count legacy but I would imagine iraqi military fatalities probably are in the thousands and thats not counting the effects of air power on the rev guards near badgad. Cakewalk was a fantasy based on the early view that we had cut the head off the snake. Perhaps we came close or this yet will determine the quickness of the result. I still buy into three-four months with 500 allied fatalaties. I am trying to be dispassionate here so please do not take the matter of fact tone as indicating a lack of compassion for all who die in war. mike
