I think the text book says "religion is irrational". So it is hard to reason.

Sadly, it is true. And the US seems the only developed country which fights tooth over nails about abortion right. I had a host-family when I was in school, and a very nice Christian couple, although the lady was sort of extreme. she thought all the social decay, crimes in the US were because of legalizing abortion. Interesting view point<g>
