The only time he served was behind the counter at MacDonalds. He's lying in case you hadn't read all of the posts

The problem Lost is that he infers in country type combat with rifles and such. The ole I've seen action and you haven't so you have no frame of reference to talk to me about war kind of bullshit.

Then we find that he was either a Marine on a ship that was using it's helicopters for mine clearing in which case he was doing nothing more then sitting around picking his ass or B: He was a deck ape on a gator freighter sitting around picking his ass while the helicopter crews dragged sleds around and cleared mines. And of course keep in mind this was all done after the war was over. In either case he has no more idea about direct combat then gloop does and it is terribly offensive for him to claim that he did. He likely would have continued down his path if it weren't for the fact that I knew the Inchon did not do any time in Vietnam so he is a liar, period.

Being on a support ship while clearing a harbor of mines is less dangerous then telling your wife she looks like she has gained a few pounds by the way. Doesn't even rate hazard pay.
