The old adage "If you strike at a king you must kill him" is being proven again. We should have gone all the way in 1991. Bush Sr. wimped out because of the fear of ugly pictures of dead Iraqi soldiers on TV. We were within 24 hours of ending Saddam's rule then when Bush ordered the assault halted. He saved the Kuwaiti Monarchs and their bank accounts, but left a festering sore for the US. What's happening now is Bush II trying to undo Bush I's strategic screw-up... and it's never easier the second time around. You never, ever, wound a bear, then leave him alive in the woods and expect to come back and find him friendly to you. Message 18745996
