It seems that I am supposed to believe that God would
send unreasonable liars to defend His truth.

This is what the bible clearly states concerning
the resurrection of CHRIST

Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself:
handle me, and see;
for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Someone please tell me how I am supposed to believe
that a raving lunatic that can not listen to even one word
I say is sent from God to save us all from my "damnable heresies"

It is utterly beyond me.

I would like to point out to any who read these threads.

Christ did not make this man like this - he chooses to be like this.

Christ actually calls men out of darkness and confusion and lies
into His glorious truth.

Truth is defended by truth itself and is never promoted
by works of darkness and lies and tricks of debate.

Scripture teaches very plainly that evil begets only evil and
no good can come of it.

Romans 3:8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported,
and as some affirm that we say,)
Let us do evil, that good may come?
whose damnation is just.

A listening ear is of God - those who will not listen do not serve God

James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren,
let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

I believe I have been all of those - even slow to wrath.

To everyone I have ever spoken to here.

Let Christ judge what I say, it is the truth.

Of all the answers to Greg you could give , that is the most un-Christian and the most spiteful and empty kind of Apologetics ...as one would expect coming from you.

It is absolutely stupifying to listen to so much vapor & gasses
of your sanctimonius speeches here , when answers could be more direct and loving .
But as always there is that "ax" to grind for you little "Elect " isn't there ?
LOL...

The subject of The Resurrection is one that should be treated with highest regard and deepest poignancy in public by any Christian , and not allowed to fall into the morrass of such petty rivalries . If you cannot expound even this event and greatest rfevelation of Christianity with some dignity , what are you truely good for ? There are greater "scholars" than you , that say more with less venom that could easily be brought to this thread for enlightenment , but that would diminish you ?

Do you spread truth or poison? How does your mouth taste ?

Because there are some wonderfully dedicated people that do some very good works as human beings , and choose to develope in themselves some larger area of tolerance and love thru and into their lives ...gives Christianity it's validity . You do not do any of this , and are in fact fairly always consistently wretched at promoting any good will at all.

See how you are ? Try Elect ....try much harder.

Your time is running out remember ?

I would be happy to stand corrected Brian if in fact you believe Christ rose in the same body that was crucified, then I applaud you for that. Even though many who would hold the doctrinal statement you quoted and which I responded to, do in fact deny it.

"The point in question is this....
Is Christ still in that physical body even now?"

It's clear from your question that you deny Christ is "still in that physical body even now" without a shred of biblical support. The onus is clearly on you to show the how when and why Christ disposed of His body that you admit was raised, but now deny He has. Presumably you deny this is in order to accommodate your pet theory that Christ returned in 70 A.D., only nobody noticed. You also seem to deny that when a Christian dies today that their body awaits a physical resurrection which is the clear promise of numerous Scriptures.

My main concern is that you are actively promoting false doctrine concerning the return of Christ and the nature of the resurrection. Those are serious issues indeed.
