You think allied forces will lose 2000-3000? That seems too high to me.

If we are looking at losing 2000 to save iraqi civilians then I say abandon that strategy, the civilians are the ones fighting just like Somalia.

As a trend, the ratio of WIA to KIA has been increasing dramatically, especially for the US. If you expect 2-3K KIA, then we'd have 10-20K wounded; say, 12-25K casualties. That would be a disaster in the size force we have.
