We can be sure the Bush Administration has low balled the costs of the Iraq War and reconstruction. They have consistently looked at these kind of costs through rose colored glasses. Remember their estimate of the $5.6 trillion surplus. Remember the promise of a temporary, short budget deficit. Their latest estimate of costs does not have much credibility.
