To replicate Ramstein and Landstuhl facilities elsewhere is not a trivial undertaking. I really hope non-political thoughts have a chance to study the feasibility, if it ever gets to that stage.

Hi Jochen - we went to the ABC (state run liquor store) and picked out some Polish potato vodka (Luksusowa) and a can of Foster's Special Bitter at the grocery. Drinking a toast to John Howard and the Aussies. Their beer tastes like -- nevermind -- but their men have balls.

I made a mental note to pick up some Danish vodka (thanks for the submarine and the destroyer) next time.

But I would like to express my gratitude for Germany doing what it can, which is very much appreciated.

Telling the Turks y'all would take back the AWACS crews if Turkey invaded Iraq was cool - I hope it not would have been the same threat if Turkey was cooperating with the US, though.;^)
