Marines prayer:
May the great Goddess Mukaso awaken and create a Shamal to cover the enemy with 8 inches of choking dust to clog their weapons and the gears of their war machines.
May Nagawonyi turn the winds and drive back the chemicals they launch into a searing rain on their own trenches
May Tsetse strike their antennas with a million volts and melt the inards of their radios and search radars
This I ask in a voice that speaks for those Iraqis who cannot speak for themselves because they no longer have a tongue
Amen
Sig

Like many Palestinians, Karajeh does not share the view of in the West that Saddam Hussein is a dictator. "I would like to see Saddam as the leader of the Arab and Muslim world," he proudly declares as other diners nod their heads in agreement.

yup, what did I say the other day.

Been there, heard that. The funkspiel krieg script:

1/ "We won a great Arab victory behind the second lines of defense.

2/ "Today our valiant forces, in dashing counter offensives, inflicted as much human as material damage to the enemy and took many prisoners."
To be repeated...

Later :

3/ "We'll fight street by street, house by house".

4/ "Our own women victoriously fight by our side".

5/"We'll fight to the last A/ drop of blood. B/ Bullet."

6/ "By all means, we won".

<<Palestinians rejoice at Saddam's "victories">>
A few more victories like the last and we can all celebrate in one of his palaces

>>I don't believe they will be able to continue with the war now that many of their soldiers are being killed or taken prisoner.<<

Well, the interesting thing about the story is that the Palestinians are living in a fantasy world, which is, of course, the reason that it's so hard to deal with them.

Watching Iraq lose live on Al Jazeera may be an awakening?

Another reason to remain resolved and not listen to the nay sayers. It is important for many people besides ourselves not to give up this time. Many countries in the region have put themselves on the line for us.

I believe Dubya is a better man than his father. I hope.

I just wish that once, just once, Bush pere would admit in public that he screwed up. I know for a fact that part of what's driving the Neocons is the sickened feeling when they realized that Bush pere was going to crap out.

And when we throw blame at Clinton and Carter for letting the people in the region think we were liable to bolt and run at the slightest resistance, let's be honest and throw some at Dubya's dad. Oh, and my beloved Reagan, as well, in Lebanon.

Another cartoon in the PA's official organ al Ayyam depicts a frightened American soldier reluctantly marching toward Baghdad carrying a coffin draped with the Stars and Stripes.

And these are the people the Euros want us to help get a state. Goodbye and good luck to them.
