Saddam has the weapons-that is fact.

Saddam provides territory for Al Quaida. That is fact.

The anti-American left is passionately hoping the enemy can win against the hated United States. That is fact.

The American left is going to be taken apart in sections by an enraged American majority after this war. Fact? You get your useful-idiot ASS!...

<< If there is only scant or partial evidence, then I believe that we will not convince all other reasonable nations that they existed in the first place. >>

Doesn't matter. Russia invaded and attacked Afghanistan for 10 years. No country complained.

Russia enslaved Eastern Europe, and raped and looted each country. No "reasonable" country complained.

Why should America be concerned about the cowards of the world?

<< This will place Bush (and us) in a very precarious position. >>

If we don't find the dangerous weapons that Saddam has been developing over the past 12 years, I agree. America is in a very precarious position.

<< We are now much more dependent on proof than we would have been with a UN mandate and coalition. >>

The UN is toothless. Who cares?

<< For instance, I think it is clear that this chemical plant was for producing illegal weapons, else why the camoflage and security. However, they could argue that it was used prior to the UN mandates, and not since. >>

Electified fence? Two generals with soldiers guarding the plant? Camouflaged plant? 2 + 2 = 4.

<< Let's hope we find it intact in order to minimize the danger to our troops and to convince the reasonable nations of the moral justification (some will never be convinced). >>

I agree. We need to protect our troops AND ..... Show and tell is always better.
