tim-

i'm listening to a debate now on
cbc - four iraqis.

they all agree that saddam has to
go and they all agree that the u.s
cannot be allowed to install another
puppet regime.

they are looking for a proportionately
representative democracy after saddam
is toppled.

listening to these people makes me
realize that bush and company will
have their hands full if the u.s. over
stays its welcome. the iraqis
are very aware of the u.s. interest
in the area and that it is not that
of the iraqi citizenry.

they are also concerned that other countries
will invade now that the "coalition" has
led the way - sort of like the war on five
fronts that jw spoke of.

the marine who hoisted the american
flag above the iraqi flag made a very,
very big mistake in that he showed
america's hand according to what
i heard from these people tonight.

... very interesting discussion.
