We need a mechanism for espousing and enforcing some common ethics of behaviour. It is easy to oppose or condemn or ignore an American ethic or a Canadian one...but if it is a value of the WORLD...then the pressure to conform and fall in line becomes very real. There are some ethics which are bigger than countries. The fate of humanity is one of them...
