In their day, they had Boston, New York and Philadelphia. Those cities had political machines even then. The Electoral College was the best way to keep the city thieves and their local "fixers" from choosing every president.

The more things change, the more they stay the same...

The Democrats weren't always as bad as they are today. They used to be very patriotic. Now Democrats put the party before the country.

I used to be a Democrat. Then the core of party went too far left for me. The Democrat Party is represented by thugs and halfwits. And that is their better side. <g>
