I think what you are missing is the fact that there are Iraqi agents of Saddam standing right alongside those Iraqis and they know it. They are still afraid to come our and cheer in a group, where they could be subject to reprisals. They have been under the thumb of the Secret Police for 20 years.

This is one of those things we don't know, yet. You could be right. But these folk could be the same ones Rusmfeld thought would be throwing flowers, now saying we don't want you. No doubt, we'll see. And now it looks as if even when we see, the evidence will be controversial. Whichever way.
